The Many Faces of Loni
So I was going through all of our pictures on my computer and noticed that a lot of pictures that Loni is in, he makes some sort of face. You will not often find him smiling nicely in pictures. So I thought I would put together a slideshow of the many faces of Loni. I hope you enjoy.
Also, anyone who knows Loni, knows he enjoys his energy drink Monster. And you probably know he likes to start off the weekend with one. But let me tell you, tonight he was READY for the weekend to start. That's right...there are 3 Monsters in that picture. We basically keep this gas station by our house in business from all the Monsters we buy there. I know the owner almost personally.

Good Night, Sleep Tight!
So every since Ellis was about 5 months old she has been able to self soothe and put herself to sleep. We have our nightly routine of a bath, bottle and singing time and then we put her in her crib to go to sleep. Most of the time she will play in her crib for about a half hour and then pass out. But when she is really tired she will fall asleep right away - in any position she is laying it. Usually it is butt straight up in the air on her stomache and other times it is like these pictures - legs up on something.
It was so funny to see her sleep in this position that we had to take some pics. Most of the time she sleeps in what looks like would be the most uncomfortable positions. But hey...whatever makes her sleep well, I will take! The other pics are from the other night when she just wouldn't go to sleep...she just kept talking and talking and talking in her crib. So Loni and I burst in and surprised her...and she loved it!

Tag - You're It!
So I have been tagged by a couple of my friends, so I am going to answer everyone's tags in this posting. Here goes:
1.10 Years Ago: I was a 9th grader at Northwood Junior High in Renton, Wa. I had braces and short hair with a grouping of hair that I would spray stiff in the front so that it would curl outwards. I was really into Basketball on the Varsity Team at my Junior High and didn't really care about my appearance that much. I was Miamaid President and very involved in church dances. Haha - that makes me laugh.
2.5 Things on My To-Do List Today:
- Go to work
- Go home
- Call the dentist to schedule appts (Ellis' first - she has two teeth)
- Work out (this will depend on my mood when I get home)
- Post on my blog (done!)
3.5 Snacks I Enjoy
- EVERYTHING!
- Cantaloupe
- Chocolate
- Chips - n - Salsa
- Whatever I am in the mood for
4. What I Would Do If I Was Suddnely a Billionaire: I would not tell anyone. I would make sure I wasn't dreaming (this has happened to me before - I woke up thinking I had really won a bunch of money only to find out it was a dream - talk about disappointment!). Then I would invest, buy a house for my family, get a personal trainer, go shopping, pay off all of relatives debt and give them all a little piece of the $$, and Loni, Ellis and I would spend the rest of our lives travelling!
5. 5 Places I Have Lived:
- Kanab, UT
- Poulsbo, WA
- Renton, WA
- Seattle, WA
- Bellevue, WA - I am just realizing how unadventurous I have been!
6. 5 Jobs I Have Had:
- Cashier at Shakey's Pizza
- Clinical Billing Representative at Valley Medical Center
- Receptionist/Admin Cingular/AT&T Wireless
- Project Coordinator - SAI COmmunications
- Travel Agent - Let me know if you want to go anywhere!
7.5 Things You Don't Know About Me:
- I love doing crosswords. I bought a book of them and am struggling through them.
- I have been on Bill Nye the Science Guy's TV Show
- I would love to sell everything and move to a tropical island and work as a masseuse.
- My one dream is to be a great singer. I am missing one key element (the ability to sing), but I still dream it might happen!
- I am pregnant!
Now onto the Husband Tag:
1. What is your husbands name? Lon Ellis Weaver
2. How long have you been married? 3.5 years and counting
3. How long did you date? Almost a year before we were married.
4. Who eats more? It depends: if I feel like I am skinny, I will eat more but if I am feeling fat, he does. So basically he eats more than me! :)
5. Who said I love you first? Loni said it first, but I was in love with him way before he was with me, but those words were taboo in our relationship.
6. Who sings better? I think Loni does because I can't sing at all.
7. Who is taller? Loni is by about 5-6"
8. Whose temper is worse? I would say Loni but only when he hasn't eaten. He is more level headed and not as dramatic as I am. I think we even eachother out.
9. Who does the laundry? It is even. Sometimes he does it, sometimes I do it.
10. Who does the dishes? Once again, it is even. We have to do the dishes every night because we still bathe Ellis in the sink (our bathroom is not very kid friendly), so whoever feels like it cleans out the sink.
11. Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? I do...its closer to the door and I hear Ellis a lot easier than Loni
12.Who does the cooking? Neither...we eat out a lot and are on diets (I know that is a contradiction, but diets SUCK)
13.Who is more stubborn? Me. Loni has his moments, but overall I am more stubborn.
14. Who proposed? Loni did - we hadn't spoken about marriage at all - so it was a BIG surprise.
15. Whose parents do you see most? His - we have dinner every Sunday so it is by default that we see them more.
16. Who pays the bills? Loni - I don't want to go near the checkbook. I can barely pay my student loan on time. You gotta love Direct Debit! You don't have remember pay dates any more.
17. What does he like to do? Dream about cars, drive cars, look up cars...basically anything that has to do with cars - I mean wheels and an engine - he likes.
18. Who wears the pants in the family? We both wear the pants, he is just fills them out a little more than I do. We both check with eachother for purchases, etc. It is pretty even.
19. Why do you love your husband? There are many, many ways to answer this question but the reason I love him is because he is Loni. He makes me feel so special and he has unconditional love for me no matter what I am getting mad, upset, angry about, he just accepts me for me. I love his personality, the way he makes me laugh, his eyes, his shoulders, basically everyhting about him. He has such a strong testimony and I love that. He is my husband but he is also my best friend. Also, he is a wonderful dad to Ellis. I love the way that he loves her and am grateful that this is my family.
Haha! I am done! YAY! Now I tag Amanda Chan and Ashley Loughran. I don't know if you have been tagged or not, but I am tagging you anyway!
Also, I am not really pregnant...I just wanted to put that in here to see what people would say! :)

Jaida and Ellis
For Valentine's Day Loni surprised me with a new digital camera (Ellis had just broken our old one) so ever since Thursday I have been taking pictures non-stop. So on Sunday we went over to Gary and Lanae's for dinner and Amber is staying with them this week while her husband is in training. Amber's daughter Jaida is 4 months older than Ellis but they have the best time together - especially now that Ellis is walking. So I decdied to test out my camera and get a couple pictures of them together. I did it in a Sepia tint and the pictures turned out so cute. This slideshow is just a compilation of the pictures. This one here is one of my favorite pictures out of the bunch! Enjoy!
Day at the Park!
So this past weekend was a beautiful, sunny weekend and on Saturday we decided to take advantage of the sun and go to the park with Ellis. Since she is walking now, it opens doors to a bunch of more things we can do with her and going to the park is one of them. Anyway, so we went down to Coulon Park (this beach park right on Lake Washington) and played with her for about a half hour. She LOVED the swings and walking around on her own, but she didn't really like the slide much. She is still a little wobbly on her feet, so we just stuck to things she could do with one of us. Loni took her down the slide and she really enjoyed that. Anyways...here are some pics of our day.

Little Baby Girl!
One final post - creatd on 2-12-2008. I don't know how I hadn't seen these since. haha. Anyway - I couldn't resist posting this pic of Ellis at 9 months!
So I know every mother thinks that their kids grow up so fast, but I really think Ellis is. She had her 10 month birthday yesterday and I just can't believe she will be 1 year old in two months. Where has the time gone? Anyway, in celebration of her "birthday", here are two videos and a picture of her. The picture was taken around 9 months and the videos about 2 weeks ago. The first video is of her waving 'Hi' and clapping her hands and the second is of her walking with her walker. I will take some video tonight of her actually walking, so I will post that as well, but I just wanted to give you all a little taste of the angel I have for a daughter!

Yes, We are Still Alive!
So, I know it has been a WHILE since I have posted, but I wanted to let the three people that look at our blog that we are still alive and here are some updates from the past couple months:
1. Christmas was great...we had fun at both of the grandparents houses and Ellis had fun with the wrapping paper. Next year will be great when she (hopefully) starts to understand what Christmas is about.
2. I started a new job at SAI Communications at the beginning of January. So far it has been a lot of fun and I am really enjoying it. They are on the network side of the wireless industry.
3. Ellis is growing like a weed. We measured her up to her cousin Jaida (who is four months older) and they measure just about the same height, but Ellis is chubbier. They are both so cute together, I just wish they could spend more time together.
4. During the month of January she started saying Uh-Oh, Da-da and La-La. She makes plenty of other noises as well, but those are the ones she really will say to you. She gives kisses and loves cell phones, remote controls and anything electronic. She also waves HI and LOVES her dollies. I will ask her "where are your dollies" and she will crawl over to one and give it a kiss. She is incredibly smart!
5. About a week ago - ELLIS STARTED WALKING!!! She was very cautious at first, but now she will walk all across the room and follow you. We have video of it, so when i get it uploaded, I will add it on the blog. She is SO cute...tomorrow she will be 10 months old.
6. About a week and a half ago, my grandma Opfar died so I took a quick trip to Utah. It was good to see that side of the family again, but sad to see her go, though she probably had a great reunion with her husband in the afterlife. I felt the trip really brought my dad and I closer.
7.Loni and I are doing well. It has been 3 1/2 years and we are still going strong. He is a great man and I enjoy him not only as my husband but also as my best friend. I love him very much.
8. We are going to Mexico in June. Loni's mom owns a time share and has been gracious enough to invite us (yes we are bringing Ellis and yes, we got her passport and it is ADORABLE)! I am so excited though I really need to get in shape for it (this baby weight is just not going away, darn it!).
That about sums up our life right now. I will post more in the next couple days with pics and videos, etc and anything new I might have forgotten in this post.
